Research and teaching labs

Laboratory of Automation and On-Board Control Systems (L27 - 418 Classroom)

The laboratory is used to conduct classes for students of:

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering
  • Mechatronics
  • Transport

The laboratory houses experimental stations used in the laboratory classes of Automation in the above-mentioned fields of study.

  • Examples of  laboratory stations:
  • Station for experimental research and determination of static and dynamic characteristics, e.g. mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems,
  • The station is equipped with PLC controllers with programming interfaces,
  • Liquid level control station,
  • UAR modeling and simulation stations,
  • Personal PCs under the supervision of the Microsoft Windows operating system, connected to high-speed Internet operating within the university network

 

The above-mentioned computers at the workstations use licensed software:

  • Mathworks MATLAB / Simulink (for UAR synthesis and analysis)
  • SciLab / Xcos, (for UAR synthesis and analysis)
  • PLC driver software

Computer laboratories

Computer laboratory (L27-302 Classroom)

The laboratory is used to conduct classes for students of:

  • Aerospace Engineering

The laboratory is equipped with PCs connected to high-speed Internet, running under the Microsoft Windows operating system.

Licensed programming and computational - simulation software is installed at each workstation:

  • Microsoft Visual Studio (used for programming classes)
  • Mathworks MATLAB / Simulink (synthesis and analysis of Automatic Control Systems and Onboard Control Systems)

Computer laboratory (L27-402 Classroom)

The laboratory is used to conduct classes for students of:

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Mechatronics
  • Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering

The laboratory is equipped with PCs connected to high-speed internet. Computers work under the Microsoft Windows operating system, and additionally, students can use the GNU Linux operating system based on virtualization.

Licensed programming and computational - simulation software is installed at each workstation:

  • Microsoft Visual Studio (used for programming classes)
  • Mathworks MATLAB / Simulink (synthesis and analysis of UAR and PSS systems)

The laboratory is used to conduct classes for students of:

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Mechatronics

The laboratory is equipped with 10 PCs connected to high-speed Internet. Computers work under the Microsoft Windows operating system, and additionally, students can use the GNU Linux operating system based on virtualization.

Licensed programming and computational - simulation software is installed at each workstation:

  • Microsoft Visual Studio (used for programming classes)
  • Mathworks MATLAB / Simulink (synthesis and analysis of UAR and PSS systems)

 

Laboratory of Metrology and Fundamentals of Electronics (L27 – 321 Classroom)

The laboratory is used to conduct classes for students of:

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Mechatronics
  • Medical Engineering

The laboratory has been equipped with electronic and measuring devices helpful in conducting classes in the above-mentioned fields of study. The laboratory is equipped with devices, components and software tools for creating programmable and measuring systems.

Laboratory of on-board installations (L27 – 420 Classroom)

The laboratory is used to conduct classes for students of:

  • Aerospace Engineering

This research laboratory is equipped with manned aircraft simulators:

  •  PZL - M-15
  • Airbus - A320

Simulators enable the implementation of advanced research with the participation of pilots and operators of unmanned aerial vehicles.

The lab is additionally equipped with unmanned systems implemented as part of completed projects:

  • MAP
  • MYSTERY

Laboratory of Aviation Equipment and Radio Systems (VD – 24 Classroom)

The laboratory is used to conduct classes for students of:

  • Aerospace Engineering

The laboratory has been equipped with equipment for classes in the above-mentioned fields of study.

In addition, you can find here devices such as:

  • Pressure instrument calibration station - PACE 6000 pressure calibrator. It enables testing the properties of pressure transducers in the range (100-1100hPa), in particular for aviation devices,
  • Station for testing resistance to vibrations: V55 shaker, DSA1 amplifier, DP700 controller. The induction coil of harmonic and random vibrations as well as the system for measuring and analyzing the measurement results enable testing the resistance of devices to vibration acceleration,
  • Garmin G3X integrated avionics system test station,
  • A rotary table used for classic tests as well as AHRS systems.
